Mr. Stobo Sniderman outlines how the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal interpreted and applied the concept of “undue suffering” throughout 20 years of animal welfare cases before the word “undue” was removed from federal regulations. He also discusses the capacity of the tribunal, the unsettling impact of animal suffering, and the potential for change going forward.
